# Use Configured Receipt Gate as a receipt-evidence signal

Configured Receipt Gate makes a selected evidence rule repeatable; it does not own the release decision.

## Use this when

Use this when an optional configured policy should compute a repeatable signal over selected immutable receipt evidence. No configured Receipt Gate exists. The receipt's recorded API behavior remains available.

## Before you start

Choose the receipts, facts, thresholds, policy version, and artifact visibility. [Configured Receipt Gate](/help/definitions.html#definition-gate) does not decide whether you should ship.

## Steps

- Select the receipt rows and the evidence facts your policy cites.

- Run the named Configured Receipt Gate policy or your own policy over those facts.

- Inspect blocked, waiting, and clear rows with their cited evidence.

- Copy or download the bounded result artifact. A local compatibility file alone does not create saved Configured Receipt Gate history.

## Success looks like

Every signal resolves to its policy version and cited receipt facts; you own the release decision.

## If it fails

If a fact is absent, keep the signal waiting or failing according to the named policy. Do not expose internal “Do not ship” wording as Meguro authority or infer an unrecorded cause.

## Next action

For actual Shopify API-shape evidence, use [Shopify Exam](/help/shopify-exam.html#shopify-exam) separately. To continue in Meguro, [select the store and open its Configured Receipt Gate tab](https://dev.meguro.io/#stores).
